Odborné usmernenie Ministerstva zdravotníctva Slovenskej republiky (MZ SR) o indikácii intenzívnej starostlivosti v situácii krízy a obmedzených kapacít v zdravotníckych zariadeniach z dôvodu pandémie ocho- renia Covid-19 (OU) (publikované 15. marca 2021) vzniklo v období vrcholiacej druhej fázy pandémie v Slovenskej republike (SR) v odpovedi na naliehavé požiadavky zdravotníckych pracovníkov zabezpečujú- cich starostlivosť o pacientov s ťažkým priebehom ochorenia. OU spresňuje medicínske, etické a právne predpoklady, ako aj kritériá, spôsob vykonania a organizačné zabezpečenia procesov triáže na jednot- livých stupňoch organizácie poskytovania zdravotnej starostlivosti. Etická komisia MZ SR vydala k OU pred jeho schválením MZ SR kladné stanovisko. Situácia kritického nedostatku vzácnych zdrojov počas tretej vlny pandémie (október – december 2021) opätovne nastolila otázku implementácie OU. Kritika niektorých nedostatkov manažmentu týchto procesov viedla k vy- daniu nového stanoviska Etickej komisie, v ktorom komisia zdôraznila etické a ďalšie požiadavky, ktoré sú nevyhnutné pre oprávnené vykonávanie procesov triáže v zmysle OU
The Guidance of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic (MH SR) on the indication of intensive care in crisis and limited capacity in health facilities due to the Covid-19 (GUI) pandemic (published on 15 March 2021) was elaborated during the peaking pe- riod of the second phase of the pandemic in the Slovak Republic (SR) in response to the urgent requi- rements of healthcare professionals providing care for patients with severe disease. GUI specifies the medi- cal, ethical, and legal preconditions, as well as the criteria, methods of implementation, and organizatio- nal arrangements of the triage processes at the res- pective levels of the organization of the health care provision. Ethics Committee of MH SR issued a posi- tive opinion on the GUI before its approval by the Ministry. The situation of critical shortage of scarce resources during the third wave of the pandemic (October - December 2021) raised the issue of GUI implementation again. Criticism of some shortcomings in the management of the processes led to the issu- ance of a new opinion, in which the Committee em- phasized the ethical and other necessary requirements for the legitimate implementation of the triage proces- ses in compliance with the GUI
