V souboru 106 pacientů (47 žen a 59 mužů, průměrný věk 26 roků) s různými typy akné (acne comedonica, acne papulopustulosa I-W stupně a acne conglobata), byly hodnoceny výsledky terapie kyselinou azelainovou (Skinoren krém), a to jak v monoterapii, tak v kombinaci s dalšími externý nebo systémovými léky. Typ zvolené terapie u jednotlivých osob byl určen na základě rozsahu a závažnosti onemocnění. V 3. a 6. měsíci byl zaznamenán počet nezánětlivých a zánětlivých morf a na základě výsledků vyhodnocen stav zhojení, částečného zlepšení či nezlepšení. Výsledky jsou uvedeny v tabulkách a grafech. Ve skupině 22 nemocných s acne comedonica a acne papulopustulosa I. a II. stupně léčených Skinoren krémem bylo v 6. měsíci probíhající terapie zhojeno 77 %, částečné zlepšení bylo zjištěno u 18 % nemocných, nezlepšen zůstal 1 pacient (5 %). Kombinovaná terapie azelainovou kyselinou (Skinoren krém) a tretinoinem (Retin A 0,05% krém) byla aplikována u 7 pacientů. 21 pacientů bylo léčeno Skinoren krémem a Eclaran 5% gelem (benzoylperoxid). Ve skupině 29 pacientů byla dána kombinace Skinoren krému a Zineryt roztoku (4% erytromycin s 1,2 % octanu zinečnatého). U nemocných s těžšími a těžkými typy akné (acne papulopustulosa III. a IV. stupně a acne conglobata) byla volena kombinovaná terapie Skinoren krémem a systémovým lékem. 11 pacientek ze souboru užívalo hormonální antiandrogenní preparát Diane-35 drg a u 16 pacientů byla zavedena léčba Roaccutanem cps. (izotretinoin).

The authors evaluated in a group of 106 patients (47 women and 59 men, mean age 26 years) with different types of acne (acne comedonica, acne papulopustulosa grade I-W and acne conglobata) the results of therapy with azelaic acid (Skinoren cream) used as monotherapy or in combination with other drugs for external use or systemic drugs. The type of selected therapy in different subjects depended on the extent and severity of the disease. After 3 and 6 months the number of non-infiammatory and infiammatory lesions was assessed, and based on the residts, recovery, partial improve ment or no improvement were evaluated. The results are presented in tables and graphs. In the group of 22 patients with acne comedonica and acne papulopustulosa grade I and II treated by Skinoren cream in the course of Ô-month therapy 77 % patients recovered, partial improvement was recorded in 18 % patients, one patient (5 %) did not improved. Combined therapy with azelaic acid (Skinoren cream and tretinoin (Retin A 0.05% cream) was used in 7 patients. 21 patients were treated with Skinoren cream) and Eclaran 5% gel (benzoyl peroxide). To a group of 29 patients a combination of Skinoren cream and Zineryt solution was administered (4% erythromycin with 1.2% zinc acetate). In patients with very severe and severe types of acne (acne papulopustulosa grade III and IV and acne conglobata) combined treatment with Skinoren cream and a systemic drug was used. Eleven female patients of the group took a hormonal antiandrogenic preparation, Diane-35 tablets and 16 female patients had treatment with Roaccutan capsides (isoretinoin).
