Stigma a duševní poruchy (výsledky výzkumu Názory na schizofrenii [Stigma and mental disorders (opinions on psychiatry - results of a survey)]

Mentally ill people are constantly stigmatized, which results in social exclusion, homelessness, unemployment and loneliness. The stigma of mental diseases has a long history and is constantly present in a high intensity. The views and opinions towards psychiatric topics have been surveyed in a study in the year 2004, which shows that even these days the mentally ill are still exposed to public prejudice in the Czech Republic. The new CHANGE project endeavors to change this situation, with the objective to reduce the stigma of mental disorders and the psychiatry branch.
