57 patients operated at the Neurosurgical department of the Faculty Hospital in Ostrava and Neurosurgical dpt. of the Teaching Hospital T. B. in Zlin from 2001 to 2007 with biotitanium cage Implaspin. The group of 25 patients was evaluated two and more years after the operation Pre-operative Oswestry score in this group was 59%. During the monitoring period (two years and more), it was possible to decrease Oswestry scores of the operated patients to 40%. This result presented partial improvement of problems. During the monitoring period no change of the instrumentarium position based, on visual examinations (X Ray, CT). The Implaspin cage of the LASAK company represents a good alternative to other lumbar spine cages. Perfectly connects the osseoconductive properties of glass ceramics and the strength of titanium.
