Therapy of cholecystolithiasis within last years was changed. So called "gold standard" - open cholecystectomy - in the surgical therapy of cholecystolithiasis was mostly supplied by laparoscopic procedure (LC). Preposition of LC is laparoscopic equipment with special instruments and qualified medical staff. To save the miniinvazive character of this procedure is the possibility to explore common bile duct. More than 90% of the patients with cholecystolithiasis are available for LC nowadays. Malignant gallbladder tumor and portal hypertension are considered for absolute contraindications. Relative contraindications are history of operations in epigastrium and preoperative non-solved obstructive jaundice. The main advantage of LC is significant decrease of patient postoperative discomfort, brief duration of the hospital stay, patient°s disability and recovery.
