Fototerapie představuje působení neionizujícího elektromagnetického záření na kůži za účelem dosažení určitých léčebných účinků. Nejčastější typ záření, který se v léčbě kožních chorob uplatňuje, je záření ultrafialové. Do praxe se také stále více prosazuje viditelné světlo. Jeho hlavní využití je nyní ve fotodynamické terapii. Tato léčebná metoda je určena zejména k terapii kožních nádorů.
Phototherapy introduces the influence of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation on the skin, so that certain treatment effects are reached. The ultraviolet is the most frequently used type of radiation in skin treatment. Recently, the visible light is more and more being implemented into practice. Its main use lies in the photodynamic therapy nowadays. This treatment method is aimed especially on skin tumors treatment.
