Nowadays organ donation became one of the most important factors, which can influence progress in organ transplantations but also its stability. Our contribution is focused on ethical and legal aspects of transplantations, from the point of informed consent, as it is understood in Slovak society. According to survey carried out 52 % of all respondents doesn?t know the law concerning to informed consent and 74 % of respondents doesn?t know about the possibility to express disagreement with taking of organs after death.
