Autori v práci podávajú komplexný pohľad na použitie celkovej anestézie a neuroaxiálnych blokád ako možností voľby anestézie počas cisárskeho rezu. Vysvetľujú podstatu jednotlivých druhov anestézií, ich účinok, spôsob aplikácie a vplyv na rodičku a plod s ohľadom na ich prednosti a nevýhody. Prehľadne uvádzajú možné riziká a komplikácie. V samostatnej kapitole rozoberajú možnosti pooperačnej analgézie.

The authors of the presented work deal with the complex view of the given general anaesthesia and neuroaxial blockade which might occur during Caesarean section. They try to explain the basis of individual types of anaesthesia, their affects, the ways of their application and their influence on mother and newborn having in consideration their advantages as well as their disadvantages. Risk and possible complication are clearly defined. In a separate chapter the possibilities of after - surgical analgesia are dealt.
