V súčasnosti sa v operačnej liečbe lokalizovaného renal cell karcinómu často používa parciálna nefrektómia. Je spojená s rizikom vzniku artério-kalichovej fistuly („pseudoaneuryzma“ renálnej artérie) s následnou hematúriou. Autori informujú o miniinvazívnom riešení tejto zriedkavej komplikácie u 54-ročnej pacientky s protrahovanou hematúriou po parciálnej nefrektómii (resekcii obličky). Perkutánne cez arteriu femoralis vykonal invazívny angiológ lokalizáciu a selektívnu embolizáciu dvoch periférnych vetiev renálnej artérie, komunikujúcich s kalichom. To viedlo k promptnému ústupu hematúrie, bez následnej elevácie kreatinínu.

Partial nephrectomy is often used in the surgical treatment of localised renal cell cancer at present. There is a risk of formation of arteriocalyceal fistula (‘pseudoaneurysm' of the renal artery) with resultant gross haematuria. The authors inform about mininvasive resolution of this rare complication in 54-year-old woman with prolonged haematuria after partial nephrectomy (resection of the kidney). Invasive angiologist performed localisation and superselective embolisation of two peripheral branches of the renal artery via the femoral artery. This led to prompt retreat of haematuria without consequent elevation of serum creatinine.
