Prezentujeme výsledky léčby prandiálním agonistou receptoru pro GLP-1 (GLP-1 RA) lixisenatidem u dvou pacientů s diabetem 2. typu a vyšším stupněm obezity. Zahájení léčby lixisenatidem vedlo k výraznému poklesu tělesné hmotnosti a glykovaného hemoglobinu. U obou pacientů došlo k poklesu hmotnosti významně převyšujícímu pokles dosažený v klinické studii GetGoal S. Příčinou tak významného poklesu tělesné hmotnosti byla zřejmě kombinace efektu zahájení léčby GLP-1 RA lixisenatidu a provedené nutriční edukace.
We present our results of therapy with prandial GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA) lixisenatide on cases of our two patients with type 2 diabetes and severe obesity. Initiation of therapy with lixisenatide had a strong effect on reduction of body weight, greater than observed in GetGoal S study. So effective lowering of body weight is probably collective effect of intensive education in diabetic diet and initiation of GLP-1 RA lixisenatide therapy.
