Autoři ve své práci hodnotí výsledky operační léčby pro lumbální spinální stenózu u pacientů nad 65 let věku. Do souboru bylo zařazeno 72 pacientů, z toho 31 žen a 41 mužů průměrného věku 69,7 let. Typ operačního výkonu byl zvolen vždy tak, aby byl pacient co možná nejméně zatížen pooperačními komplikacemi a byla umožněna rychlá vertikalizace. Z operačních technik byly prováděny laminektomie bez nebo s instrumentací, prostá dekomprese a nepřímá dekomprese pomocí zavedení interspinózního implantátu. Pacienti byli sledováni v ambulanci po dobu 5 let. Bylo hodnoceno ODI, VAS skóre, ODOM skóre a prodloužení klaudikačního intervalu.

The autors evaluate the results of surgical treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis in patiens over 65 years of age. The group included 72 patients, of whom 31 women and 41 men, the average age of 69.7 years. From the surgical techniques were performed laminectomy with or without instrumentation, simple decompres-sion or indirect decompression through the introduction of an interspinous implant. Patients were followed for 5 years. It was evaluated ODI, VAS and ODOM score and claudication interval prolongation.
