Pravidla redukčního režimu se u pacientů v přípravě na bariatrický zákrok a u pacientů, kteří k chirurgickému zákroku nesměřují, významněji neliší. Rozdílné se stávají převážně finální edukace nutričním terapeutem ohledně dodržování celoživotních změn jídelního režimu po vykonání bariatricko-metabolické chirurgie. Kazuistika popisuje přípravy na bariatrickou operaci – pacientovy jídelní návyky před výkonem, po intervenci nutričním terapeutem, ale také dále po absolvování chirurgického zákroku.

The rules of weight reducing regimen are more or less similar both in patients who are prepared for bariatric surgery and in those who are not planned for surgical intervention. The main difference begins with the final education performed by a nutrition specialist and it concerns the compliance with life-long changes of dietary regimen following the bariatric- metabolic surgical procedure. The case report describes the process of preparing for bariatric surgery – patient’s dietary habits before the surgery, after the education by a nutrition specialist and also after passing the surgical procedure.
