Peyronieho choroba neboli plastická indurace penisu (IPP) je velmi nepříjemné onemocnění, které pacientům přináší mnoho útrap a není přitom zdaleka vzácné. Často se vyskytuje u starších mužů s typickým věkem nástupu obtíží 50-60 let, ale objevuje se i u mladších mužů. Etiologie není úplně přesně známa, předpokládá se však lokální autoimunitní onemocnění. Článek pojednává o rizikových faktorech, průběhu a možnosti léčby onemocnění. Léčba se rozděluje na konzervativní, kdy nejslibnější výsledky má léčba intralezionální, a chirurgickou. Intralezionální léčba může snížit indikaci chirurgického výkonu nebo změnit techniku, kterou je třeba provést, ale pouze po úplném poučení pacienta. Rozhodnutí o nejvhodnějším chirurgickém výkonu ke korekci zakřivení penisu je založeno na předoperačním vyhodnocení délky penisu, stupně zakřivení a stavu erektilní dysfunkce (ED). Dojde-li k souběžné ED, která nereaguje na farmakologickou léčbu, je nejlepší možností implantace penilní protézy, s narovnáním nebo bez narovnání penisu.

If there is concomitant ED that does not respond to pharmacological treatment, implantation of a penile prosthesis, with or without straightening the penis, is the best option.
