Poruchy hlasu a reči patria k častým sprievodným príznakom Parkinsonovej choroby. Limitujú možnosti pacientov participovať na mnohých aktivitách v ich osobnom a spoločenskom živote. Napriek tomu je im v ponuke intervencie venovaná iba malá pozornosť. Jedným z perspektívnych nefarmakologických terapeutických prístupov pre túto oblasť je aj muzikoterapia. Predložený prehľadový referát sa zameriava na priebeh, výsledky a limity zrealizovaných muzikoterapeutických intervencií, zameraných na terapiu porúch hlasu a reči u pacientov s Parkinsonovou chorobu. Na základe rešerše existujúcej dostupnej literatúry v rámci internetových databáz v anglickom jazyku bolo do tohto prehľadu zahrnutých deväť štúdií opisujúcich muzikoterapeutickú intervenciu u pacientov s Parkinsonovou chorobou, orientovaných na dosiahnutie zmien v oblasti hlasu a reči. Pozitívne zmeny boli zaznamenané v oblastiach: zvýšenie sily hlasu, hodnoty maximálneho času fonácie, zlepšenie zrozumiteľnosti reči, plynulosti reči, zlepšenie prozódie reči, zlepšenie v oblasti respiračných funkcií. Aj keď štatisticky významné zmeny v týchto oblastiach neboli zaznamenané u všetkých zrealizovaných protokolov, pri hodnotení výsledkov jednotlivých štúdií sa preukázalo, že u pacientov nedošlo k zhoršeniu v sledovaných oblastiach a to napriek progresívnemu charakteru ochorenia. Na základe týchto zistení je možné konštatovať, že muzikoterapeutická intervencia je perspektívnym a prínosným nefarmakologickým prístupom v komplexnej terapii Parkinsonovej choroby.

Voice and speech disorders are common accompanying symptoms of Parkinson‘s disease. They limit the opportunities of patients to participate in many activities in their personal and social lives. However, they receive little attention in the intervention offer. One of the promising non- -pharmacological therapeutic approaches in this area is music therapy. The presented review paper provides information on the course, results and limits of implemented music therapy interventions focused on the treatment of voice and speech disorders in patients with Parkinson‘s disease. Based on a search of the available literature in the English-language internet databases, nine studies describing music therapy intervention aimed at achieving changes in voice and speech in patients with Parkinson‘s disease were included in this review. Results showed improvement in the following areas: increase in voice strength, maximum phonation time, speech intelligibility, speech fluency, speech prosody, and respiratory functions. Although statistically significant changes in these areas were not observed in all included protocols, the evaluation of the results of individual studies showed that patients did not worsen in the monitored areas, despite the progressive nature of the disease. These findings suggest that music therapy intervention is a promising and beneficial non-pharmacological approach in comprehensive therapy of Parkinson‘s disease.
