Pacientem byla kočka domácí, vykastrovaná samice, ve věku 10 roků, která několik týdnů trpěla inapetencí, opakovaným vomitem a snížením frekvence defekace. Pod dolním očním víčkem byl patrný útvar – nodulus. Klinicky byla zjištěna mírná bolestivost dutiny břišní a zvětšená slezina bez ložiskových změn. Cytologické vyšetření tenkojehlových bioptátů ze sleziny, kostní dřeně, mezenteri- ální mízní uzliny a útvaru pod očním víčkem prokázalo početné mastocyty nádorového charakteru. Kočka byla na přání majitele utracena. Pitva prokázala zvětšenou slezinu, početná drobná ložiska světlé barvy na játrech a hyperemii plic. Histologické vyšetření vzorku ze sleziny prokázalo zánik původní struktury a difuzní infiltraci mastocyty. V játrech byla početná ložiska nádorových mastocytů. V plicích a v ledvině byla patrná infiltrace intersticia mastocyty. Barvení toluidinovou modří prokázalo v nádorových buňkách velké množství metachromatických granul. Imunohistochemický průkaz c-kitu (markeru mastocytů) byl negativní. Případ jsme diagnostikovali jako multiorgánovou mastocytózu.

The patient was a domestic cat, a neutered female, 10 years old, who suffered from reduced inapetency, repeated vomiting and a re- duction in the frequency of defecation for several weeks. Askin nodule was visible under the lower eyelid. Mild abdominal pain and an enlarged spleen without focal changes were found clinically. Cytological examination of thin-needle biopsies from the spleen, bone marrow, mesenteric lymph node and the skin formation under the eyelid revealed numerous mast cells. The cat was euthana- sized at the request of the owner. The autopsy showed an enlarged spleen, numerous small, light-colored foci on the liver, and lung hyperemia. Histological examination of the sample from the spleen showed the disappearance of the original structure and diffuse infiltration by mast cells There were numerous foci of neoplastic mast cells in the liver. Infiltration of the interstitium by mast cells was evident in the lungs and kidney. Toluidine blue staining showed a large number of metachromatic granules in the neopastic mast cells. Immunohistochemical detection of c-kit (mast cell marker) was negative. We diagnosed the case as multiorgan mastocytosis.
