Uvedená kazuistika ukazuje profit pacienta po změně antidiabetické léčby z kombinace metformin + gliptin na kombinaci metformin + semaglutid v tabletové formě. Benefit u tohoto pacienta s anamnézou kardiovaskulární (KV) příhody byl prokázán nejen ve vztahu k poklesu glykemie a HbA1c, došlo také ke snížení tělesné hmotnosti (-3 kg) a neméně důležitá byla i spokojenost pacienta s pokračováním tabletové formy léčby. Důležitý je pak také kardiovaskulární přínos léčby semaglutidem, potvrzený klinickými studiemi.

The presented case report shows the patient benefit after a change of antidiabetic treatment from metformin + gliptin combination to metformin + semaglutide combination in tablet form. The benefit in this patient with a history of cardiovascular (CV) events was demonstrated not only in relation to a decrease in blood glucose and HbA1c, but there was also a reduction in body weight (-3 kg) and equally important was the patient’s satisfaction with the continuation of the tablet form of treatment. The cardiovascular benefit of semaglutide treatment, confirmed by clinical studies, is also important to mention.
