Nuchální translucence je moderní metoda ultrazvukového screeningu vrozených vývojových vad, zvláště aneuploidií a VVV kardiálních na konci 1. trimestru gravidity. Zvětšení translucence nad 2 mediány normální hodnoty či nad 95 percentil derivuje pravděpodobnost výskytu aneuploidie nad hodnotu 1:200.

Nuchal translucency is a modern method of an ultrasound screening of congenital diseases of fetuses at the end of the first trimester of pregnancy. Aneuploidies and serious cardial defects are the main coming outputs of this screening. Enlarging of the nuchal translucency over 2 medians of the normal finding or over the 95th percentile derives the probability of aneuploidy over 1:200.
