Transkripční faktor s homeodoménou, který působí v beta-buňkách pankreatu. Mutace genu NKX2-2 souvisí s diabetem mellitus 2. typu u mladistvých a s oligodendrogliomem.

A homeobox-containing transcription factor that functions in INSULIN-SECRETING CELLS. Mutations in the NKX2-2 gene are associated with MATURITY-ONSET DIABETES OF THE YOUNG and OLIGODENDROGLIOMA.
