Nukleosid, který se skládá z adeninu a D-ribosy. Adenosin nebo deriváty adenosinu jsou složkami DNA a RNA a kromě toho hrají mnoho důležitých biologických rolí. Adenosin sám o sobě je neurotransmiter.

A nucleoside that is composed of ADENINE and D-RIBOSE. Adenosine or adenosine derivatives play many important biological roles in addition to being components of DNA and RNA. Adenosine itself is a neurotransmitter.
