CIEĽ: Cieľom štúdie bolo preskúmať vzťah medzi osobnostnými faktormi vyššieho radu plasticitou (extroverzia, otvorenosť voči skúsenosti), stabilitou (emocionálna stabilita/neuroticizmus, prívetivosť, svedomitosť) a problematickým používaním internetu (PlU) s prihliadnutím na úlohu autonómie v tomto vzťahu. METÓDY: Autonomy (škála na meranie autonómie). Ten Item Personality Inventory (Desaťpoložkový osobnostný dotazník), GPlU2-Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (Škála na meranie problematického používania internetu). VÝSKUMNÁ VZORKA: Vzorka pozostávala z 1525 študentov prvých ročníkov univerzít troch krajín: Slovenska (N=587; 73 % žien; 19,6 priemerný vek; 38,5 % vzorky), Litvy (N=555; 71 % žien; 20,0 priemerný vek; 36,4 % vzorky) a Maďarska (N=383; 76 % žien; 21,4 priemerný vek; 25,1 % vzorky). Výskum je súčasťou štúdie SĽiCE (Študent life cohort in Európe).
AIM: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between the higher-order personality factors Plasticity (Extraversion, Openness to Experience) and Stability (Emotional stability I Neuroticism, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness) and Problematic Internet Use (PIU) with respect to the role of autonomy in this relationship. METHODS: Autonomy (A scale for measuring autonomy), Ten-Item Personality Inventory, GPIU2 (Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2). SAMPLE: The sample consisted of 1525 first-year university students from three countries: the Slovak Republie (38.5%, N=814, 73% of them females, mean age 19.6), Lithuania (36.4%, N=936, 71% of them females, mean age 20.0), and Hungary (25.1%, N=940, 16% of them females, mean age 21.4). This research is part of SLICE (a European cohort study looking into university students' behaviour and perspectives on life). RESULTS: Models of linear regression showed that all the predictors under scrutiny explained the variance in PIU after controlling for gender and country. The analysis showed a negative relationship between Plasticity and PIU, between Stability and PIU, and between autonomy and PIU. Furthermore, the Sobel test showed that autonomy was a mediator of the relationship between Plasticity and PIU and between Stability and PIU. CONCLUSION: Highlighting the significant protective role of autonymy in relation to PIU as well as the mediating role of autonomy in the relationship between the higher-order personality factors and PIU, the findings of this study can be implemented in prevention and intervention programmes for university students.

Záměry. Cílem studie bylo: (a) ověřit faktorovou strukturu českých překladů Baron-Cohenových inventářů AQ, SQ a EQ; (b) zkoumat rozdíly v autistických rysech, empatii a systemizaci mezi studenty exaktních a humanitních věd i mezi muži a ženami; (c) hledat možné korelace mezi skóry v Baron-Cohenových dotaznících a pěti obecnými dimenzemi osobnosti, měřenými NEO-FFI. Soubor a procedura. Výzkumný soubor sestával z 268 studentů Přírodovědecké fakulty UP a 348 studentů Filozofické fakulty UP. Konfirmační faktorová analýza potvrdila čtyřfaktorový model SQ a třífaktorový model EQ. Do určité míry také podpořila pětifaktorový model AQ. Studenti exaktních věd měli signifikantně vyšší skóry v Kvocientu systemizace než studenti humanitních oborů. Ženy skórují významně výše než muži v Kvocientu empatie a níže v Kvocientu systemizace. Autistické rysy, měřené AQ, záporně korelují s empatií i dimenzí extraverze NEO-FFI a záporně s neuroticismem.
Objectives. The study was aimed: (a) to verify the factor structure of Czech translations of the Baron-Cohen's inventories AQ, SQ, and EQ; (b) to explore the differences in autistic features, level of empathy and systemizing between the exact sciences and humanities students, and between men and women; (c) to find possible correlation among the scores in Baron-Cohen's questionnaires and five general personality dimensions, measured by NEO-FFI. Sample and setting. The research sample consisted of 268 students from the Faculty of Science PU and 349 students from the Philosophical Faculty PU in Olomouc. Women comprised 75 % of the sample. Participants filled in inventories using web application specifically prepared for the research. Statistical analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to verify the factor structure of the Baron-Cohen's inventories. Effects of gender, field of study, and their interaction on dependant variables were explored by ANOVA. The relationships between measured variables were examined by Pearson's correlation. The potential bias of repeated testing was corrected by Bonferroni's method. Results. CFA confirmed the four-factor model of SQ, and the three-factor model of EQ. It also revealed support for the five-factor model of AQ. The exact sciences students scored significantly higher on the Systemizing Quotient than humanities students. Women are significantly higher than men on the Empathy Quotient and lower on the Systemizing Quotient. The autistic features, measured by AQ, negatively correlate with NEO-FFI dimension Extraversion and positively with Neuroticism. The level of empathy appeared to correspond to the Extraversion. AQ correlated negatively with EQ. Study limitation. The study was realised at two faculties of one Moravian university. There was a greater proportion of women (75%) than men in the research sample. Data were collected using web application.

Cieľom štúdie bolo identifikovať chronotyp dominujúci u vysokoškolských študentiek realizujúcich vo svojom voľnom čase športovú aktivitu aerobik. Súbor tvorili študentky (n = 62, vek = 21,2±1,4 roka) I. a II. stupňa vysokoškolského štúdia rôznych študijných programov a študijných odborov na jednotlivých fakultách Univerzity Mateja Bela v Banskej Bystrici.
The aim of the study was chronotype´s identification of university´s students who have been practising the activity of aerobics during their free time. The experimental ensemble composed of probands (n = 62, age = 21.2±1.4 years) who attended I. and II. level of university´s studies. The probands attended various study programmes and field of studies on particular faculties of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. We identified chrontypes thanks to the method of standardised questionnaire. The identification was being done by quantification of score points of all questions. The scores were added together and the sum converted into a stated five point scale. The analysis has shown that 48 probands (77.4 %) tend to be the neither chronotype, 8 probands (12.9 %) are represented by moderately morning chronotype. Moderately evening chronotype is dominated for 5 probands (8.1 %). 1 proband (1.6 %) tends to be definitely evening chronotype. Definitely morning chronotype was not identified.

The author in his study looks for an answer to the question: “Why many students of CTU in Prague quit their active sport activities during their university study?” The task was being solved both by a quantitative method – a questionnaire in 936 first-year students and by a qualitative method – an analysis of contents of written responses by 26 students from higher years. After the evaluation of written responses the initial number of 15 reasons found had to be extended up to 20 reasons. The results shown that the main reasons for quitting and restraining one’s sport activity was “shortage of time” – the average value on a 7-point scale was 3.96 (1.30) together with “a high study load” – the average value on the scale was 3.14 (2.07).
