Východiska: Globalizace dospěla do bodu, kdy je interakce s lidmi z odlišného sociokulturního prostředí nedílnou součástí běžného života nás všech. Narůstající počet migrujících obyvatel napříč světem je znatelný i na poli zdravotnictví. V praxi porodní asistentky je dnes již běžná péče o ženy s migrační zkušeností. Jmenované skutečnosti pro potřeby teorie i praxe pokrývají koncepty transkulturního ošetřovatelství. Péče porodní asistentky by měla být založena na individualizovaném partnerském vztahu s ošetřovanou ženou, který umožní uzpůsobení intervencí dle aktuálních potřeb.Cíl: Cílem publikace je nalézt a propojit teoretické aspekty a specifika praxe porodní asistentky, které mohou být stěžejní při poskytování ošetřovatelské péče o ženu pocházející z odlišného sociokulturního prostředí.Metoda: Přehledový článek je teoretickou rešerší založenou na studiu a analýze dostupných odborných publikací v tištěné a elektronické podobě. Informace byly čerpány z celkového počtu 24 tuzemských i zahraničních referenčních zdrojů, které jsou uvedeny v sekci Literatura na konci příspěvku.Výsledky: Vybrané aspekty spojené s poskytováním transkulturní péče byly teoreticky propojeny a aplikovány do oblasti porodnického ošetřovatelství. Literární rešerše poskytla vhled do v češtině doposud nepublikované koncepce Modelu partnerské spoluúčasti, který se jeví jako efektivní nástroj pro identifikaci individuálních zvláštností s benefitem zaměření na kulturní odlišnosti ošetřované ženy.Závěr: Předložené informace mapují teoretické souvislosti nejvýznamnějších aspektů transkulturní péče v praxi porodní asistentky. K požadavkům na tuto péči patří kromě znalosti existujících koncepčních modelů i znalost a umění interkulturní komunikace či uvědomění si významu otázek spojených s konfesí. Jak komunikace, tak víra jsou totiž bezprostředně spjaty s kulturní či etnickou identitou každé ošetřované ženy a jsou vždy zcela individuální. Pro pochopení současného stavu dané problematiky je k vybraným kapitolám připojen i krátký historický exkurz.

Background: Globalization has reached a point where interaction with people from different sociocultural backgrounds is an integral part of everyday life for all of us. The growing number of migrants is noticeable in the field of health care around the world. Care of women with migratory experience is now common in midwife practice. Those mentioned facts covers concepts of transcultural nursing and the needs of theory and practice. The midwife care should be based on an individualized partnership with a woman, which will allow interventions to be adapted to current uniqe needs.Aim: The aim of this article is to find and connect theoretical aspects and specifics of midwife practice, which can be crucial in providing nursing care for a woman with different sociocultural background.Methods: The review article is a theoretical research based on a study and analysis of available professional publications in printed and electronic form. Those information was drawn from the total number of 24 domestic and foreign reference sources, which are listed in the Literature section at the end of the article.Results: Selected theoretical aspects associated with the transcultural nursing care were connected and applied in the field of midwery. The research strategy based on literature sources provided focus on the Partnership model concept which was unpublished in Czech translation until now. These concept seems to be an effective tool for identifying individual peculiarities with the benefit of focusing on the cultural differences of the each woman ́s uniqe needs.Conclusion: The presented information trace information trace theoretical context of the most important aspects of trancultural care in midwifery. In addition to knowledge of existing conceptual model tools, the requirements for this care include also intercultural communication skills or awareness of the importance of issues related to confession. Both communication and faith are directly connected with the cultural or ethnic identity of each woman and are always completely individual. To understand the current state of the issue, a short historical excursion is attached to selected chapters.
