Laparoscopy as the minimal invasive surgical procedure is nowadays considered effective method in the diagnosis of pelvic pain syndrome. The specific advantage of this procedure can be seen in the possibility to correctly diagnose some causal factors of the typical PPS and often distinguish between the somatic and functional etiology of tills syndrome. The frequency of the laparoscopic findings in the PPS is discussed. The correct diagnosis at the LSC then significantly contributes to the effectivity of the consequent laparoscopic therapeutic procedures as adhesiolysis, surgical treatment of endometriosis, ventro suspension, LUNA and presacral neurectomy.
