V práci autori prezentujú súbor 31 pacientov, u ktorých boU v rokoch 1997-2000 zavedené endobronchiálne protézy, pričom sa osobitne zameriavajú na súbor pacientov, ktorí sa podrobili stentovaniu pre benígne stenózy. Autori hodnotia indikácie, použité stenty, ako i prácu s nimi a dosiahnuté výsledky vrátane nežiaducich účinkov po zavedení stentu. Konštatujú, že stentovanie v indikovaných prípadoch efektívne odstraňuje stenózy vo veľkých dýchacích cestách pri malých nežiaducich účinkoch. Žiaden pacient po zavedení stentu nezomrel.

Authors present a group of 31 patients with endobronchial stents introduced in years of 1997-2000. The main focus is on patients untergone endobronchial stenting for benign stenosis. Authors evaluates indications, applied stents, work durig applying of stents, and achieved results including undesirable effects after introducig stents. They states that stenting takes off stenosis in large airways in indicated cases, and it has only small undesirable effects. No patient died after introducing a stent.
