Předpokládat, že se současné filozoficko-názorové klima v naší společnosti jednoznačně orientuje materialisticky a ateisticky, je mylné. Žijeme sice v postupující sekularizaci, kde se na jedné straně ze života současníků vytrácí povědomí tradičních křesťanských hodnot a z nich vycházejících životních postojů a jednání člověka, na druhé straně lze zaznamenat nástup pestrého náboženského synkretizmu a alternativně religiózních směrů, které poznáváme pod pojmy New Age, Nová spiritualita nebo Východní mysticizmus. V obraze dnešních psychóz nebo neuróz nenacházíme již tradiční hlasy andělů nebo ďáblů, ani fobie z hříchů nebo věčného zavržení, ale setkáváme se stále častěji s úzkostmi a depresemi u obětí náboženských sekt nebo závislostí na psychokultech a léčitelích, kteří vytváří -religio sui generis-.

To believe that the present philosophic and ideaic climate of our society will be able to orient the community in the way of synonymous materialy or atheistic is a mistake. However we live in a progressive secularisation where the life of people left the knowledge of traditional Christian values and outgoing life positions and so based their dealing, on the other side we can see an ongoing of a variety of religious syncretism and alternative religious ways so known New Age, New spirituality or East Mysticysm. In the picture of present psychoses we could not find any angel-s voices or devil-s and no phobias of sins and of eternal damnation but wee can meet evermore often depressions and fear in victims of religious sections and dependents to psychocults and various healingmen creating the -religio sui generis-.
