Sluch je důležitým smyslem. Ve stáří dochází často k jeho poškození vlivem civilizačních faktorů. Sluch vyšetřujeme v tiché komoře tónovým audiometrem a srozumitelnost slovní audiometrií. Léčit percepční poruchu sluchu nelze cíleně, sluch můžeme kompenzovat sluchadlem. V závěru jsou probírány možnosti korekce, tvary a typy sluchadel.
