Autor popisuje současný pohled na vztah sepse a koagulačních změn. V dnešním pohledu na koagulační procesy hraje vedle humorální složky významnou roli i složka buněčná a od statického modelu přecházíme k dynamickému pohledu. U sepse se nejčastěji setkáváme s diseminovanou intravaskulární koagulací, život ohrožující komplikací, která je důsledkem narušené rovnováhy mezi jednotlivými složkami hemostatických mechanismů. Autor shrnuje možnosti léčby tohoto závažného stavu a přehled studií, ve kterých byly testovány inhibitory krevního srážení.

The author describes a current view on the relationship between sepsis and coagulation changes. In today's view on coagulation processes both cellular and humoral components play a major role and we move from static model to a dynamic view. In sepsis we most commonly encounter disseminated intravascular coagulation, a life-threatening complication that arises from disturbed balance between the different components of hemostatic mechanisms. The author summarises treatment options for this serious condition and the overview of studies, in which blood coagulation inhibitors were tested.
