Úvod: V manažmente ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti o pacienta s Alzheimerovou demenciou predstavujeme použitie klasifikačných systémov ošetrovateľstva. Cieľom výskumu bolo porovnať sledované premenné v úrovni klasifikačných systémov ošetrovateľských intervencií (NIC) vo vybraných zariadeniach. Metodika: V úrovni NIC sme kvantitatívne premenné porovnali pomocou Studentovho t-testu pre dva nezávislé výbery medzi výberovými súbormi . Výsledky a diskusia: Vo všetkých činnostiach vybraných súborov z klasifikačného systému NIC sú signifikantné rozdiely medzi experimentálnou a kontrolnou skupinou, výraznejšie v zariadeniach sociálnych služieb ako na psychiatrickej klinike. Záver: Použité vybrané súbory z klasifikačných systémov ošetrovateľstva sa javia ako efektívny nástroj v manažmente Alzheimerovej demencie.

Introduction: We introduce the use of the nursing classification systems in management of nursing care in the patients with Alzheimer's disease. The objective of the research was to compare the chosen variables in the level of the classification systems of nursing interventions (NIC) in the selected facilities. Methods: The quantity variables in the NIC level were compared with the use of the Student's t-test for two independent samples between the selected sets. Results and discussion: In all the activities of the selected NIC sets there are significant differences between the experimental and control groups; the differences are more significant in the social services facilities than in the psychiatric clinic. Conclusion: The used nursing classification systems appear as an effective tool in the Alzheimer's disease management.
