Chemsex je jedna z mnoha podob sexualizovaného užívání návykových látek, je specifický svou vazbou na gay komunitu, častým výskytem skupinového sexu a typickým mixem užívaných návykových látek. Chemsex jako jev není nový, ale v posledních letech je na vzestupu. Vznikají specifické subkultury, kde sex začíná být totéž co chemsex. Výraznou roli v rozvoji chemsexu hrají seznamovací aplikace, jako je Grindr. Motivace k chemsexu má více vrstev, na povrchu leží snaha o lepší, delší, intenzivnější sex, hlubší je potřeba navazovat kontakty s jinými lidmi, ještě hlouběji je snaha vyhnout se nepříjemným emocím. S chemsexem díky intoxikaci účastníků a specifické atmosféře souvisí rizikové sexuální chování, jako je nechráněný sex (nedůsledné použití kondomu nebo barebacking), tvrdší sexuální praktiky, překračování hranic (znásilnění). Základní návykové látky užívané během chemsexu jsou stimulancia a gamahydroxybutyrát. Chemsex vyžaduje specifickou praxi v oblasti harm reduction. Chemsex je komplexní jev, který i od služeb vyžaduje překročení zažitého rámce, například propojení adiktologických a sexuologických služeb, práci jak s „chems“, tak se sexem.

Chemsex is one of many forms of sexualised substance abuse. It is associated with the gay community, frequent group sex, and a typical mix of addictive substances. While not a new phenomenon, chemsex has been on the rise in recent years. There is a specific subculture in which chemsex is beginning to be a synonym for sex. Dating applications such as Grindr play a significant role in the rise of chemsex. The motivation for chemsex has several layers: on the surface there is the desire for better, longer, more intensive sex, while underneath lies the need to establish contacts with other people and, even deeper, the effort to avoid unpleasant emotions. High-risk sexual behaviours such as unprotected sex (inconsistent condom use or barebacking), very hard sex, and crossing boundaries (rape) seem to have become part of the chemsex culture. Substances used during chemsex always include stimulants and usually gammahydroxybutyrate. Chemsex requires specific harm reduction approaches. As a multi-faceted phenomenon, it can hardly be dealt with effectively without the relevant services going beyond the established practice framework and addressing both “chems” and sex. Keywords
