Infekce koronavirem SARS-CoV-2 se šíří pandemicky. Podílejí se na tom specifické charakteristiky imunopatogeneze této infekce. Obranný zánět indukovaný SARS-CoV-2 je víceúrovňový. Zahrnuje fyziologické obranné bariéry, vrozenou a specifickou imunitu. U většiny osob obranný zánět zvládá invazi SARS-CoV-2. Část infikovaných však progreduje do život ohrožujících forem onemocnění COVID-19. Je diskutována imunobiologická podstata těchto rozdílů. Obranný potenciál nemocných s roztroušenou sklerózou (RS) je v různé míře ovlivněn různými terapeutickými zásahy. Zaměřujeme se na ovlivnění obranyschopnosti nemocných s RS léčených natalizumabem a přípravky s imunorekonstitučním potenciálem.

The spread of the infection with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is of pandemic proportions. The specific characteristics of immunopathogenesis of this infection is substantially influencing it. The protective inflammatory response induced by SARS-CoV-2 is multilayer. It comprises of physiological protective barriers, innate and specific immunity. Majority of infected people can cope with the invasion of SARS-CoV-2 due to protective inflammatory response. However, a part of SARS-CoV-2 infected people can progress into more severe forms of COVID-19 disease. The immunobiological background of these differences is discussed. The protective potential of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients is substantially influenced by different therapies. This article is focused on influencing the protective capacities of MS patients treated with natalizumab or drugs with immune reconstitution potential.
