Mechanická aterotrombektomie (MATH) katétrem Rotarex® S je účinná a bezpečná rekanalizační technika u akutních, subakutních i chronických uzávěrů tepen vyživujících dolní končetiny. Rychlé odstranění okluzivních hmot umožňuje její použití jako primární léčebné metody i u akutní ischemie dolních končetin s bezprostředním ohrožením končetiny, kde doposud dominovala léčba chirurgická, nebo tam, kde přichází v úvahu trombolýza. Může být učinná i tam, kde obě metody selhaly nebo jsou kontraindikovány.

Mechanical atherothrombectomy (MATH) with the Rotarex® S catheter is efficient and safe modality for recanalization of acute, subacute or chronic occlusions of arteries supplying lower limbs. It can be used as an initial technique in patients with acute limb ischemia where historically, the treatment was based on open surgery and/or thrombolysis. The technique can be effective even in patients with contraindicaton to or failed surgery or thrombolysis.
