Jedním z deklarovaných cílů, které si předsevzala Česká kardiologická společnost již v roce 2019, bylo snížit do 10 let kardiovaskulární mortalitu o 5 % a incidenci hospitalizací pro komplikace již manifestovaných kardiovaskulárních chorob o 10 %. Abychom dosáhli tohoto ambiciózního cíle (a polovina času nám již vlastně uběhla), musíme v první řadě zlepšit účinnost léčebných opatření, která již máme v současné době k dispozici. K tomu je ale nezbytné překonat určitou terapeutickou inercii, přetrvávající na straně lékařů, a samozřejmě i non-adherenci k doporučené léčbě na straně pacientů.

One of the declared objectives set by the Czech Cardiology Society in 2019 was to reduce cardiovascular mortality by 5% and the incidence of hospitalizations for complications of already manifested cardiovascular diseases by 10% over the next ten years. In order to achieve this ambitious goal (and we are already halfway done), we must improve the effectiveness of the already available treatment measures. To do this, however, overcoming a certain therapeutic inertia that persists on the part of physicians and the non-adherence to the recommended treatment on the part of patients is necessary.
