Toxoplazmóza a primárni lymfom jsou nejčastějšími ložiskovými mozkovými komplikacemi infekcí HIV. Obě afekce jsou diagnosticky obtížně odlišitelné, neboť se navzájem podobají klinickými i radiologickými příznaky. Přesná diferenciální diagnostika je však nezbytná, protože toxoplazmóza mozku je dobře léčitelnou komplikací AIDS. Ve sdělení jsou přehledně shrnuty dosavadní literární údaje i vlastní zkušenosti s diferenciálně diagnostickými obtížemi u CT a MR vyšetření mozku u pacientů s AIDS.
Toxoplasmosis and primary lymphoma are the most frequent focal cerebral complications of HIV infections. Both affections are difficult to differentiate as they are similar as to clinical and radiological symptoms. Accurate differential diagnosis is, however, essential as toxoplasmosis of the brain is a readily treated complication of AIDS. In the submitted paper the authors summarize hitherto assembled data in the literature and their own experience with the differential diagnostic difficulties in CT and MR examinations of the brain in patients with AIDS.
