Cone-beam CT (CBCT) je ve veterinární medicíně poměrně novou zobrazovací metodou oproti konvenční computed tomography (CT). Možnosti využití CBCT se díky vývoji nových algoritmů rozšířily od původně převážně dentálního vyšetření i do otorinolaryngologie, ortopedie a interní medicíny. Krátce jsou shrnuty výhody a nevýhody CBCT zobrazení a dále kritéria výběru přístroje. Na konkrétních případech je demonstrován přínos CBCT v rámci dalších zobrazovacích metod a přínos pro monitorování účinnosti terapie.

Cone-beam CT (CBCT) is in the veterinary medicine relatively new imaging method compared with the conventional CT. Possible usage of CBCT thanks to the development of the new algorithm extended from originally mainly dental examination to the otorhinolaryngology, orthopaedics and internal medicine. Shortly CBCT imaging advantages and disadvantages are summarized and also criteria for machi- nes choosing. On the real cases the CBCT benefit is demonstrated in the field of the other imaging methods and treatment effectiveness monitoring.
