Autoři podávají přehled o úskalích anestezie ve vztahu k elektrokonvulzivní terapii. V přehledu probírají sedaci ve vztahu k záchvatu, volbu anestetika, myorelaxancií, ventilaci během elektrošoku, hemodynamické změny během záchvatu a ukončení záchvatu. Všímají si možného výskytu deliria po elektrokonvulzivní terapii a závěrem uvádějí indikace a kontraindikace elektrošokové terapie.
The authors present the survey of pitfalls in anesthesia associated with electroconvulsive therapy. In the survey there is discussed sedation with respect to convulsions, the choice of anesthetic agent, neuromuscular blocking agent, ventilation during the electroshock, hemodynamic changes during the convulsions and termination of the convulsions. They monitor the possible occurence of delirium after electroconvulsive shock therapy; at the final part indications and contraindications of electroshock therapy are presented.
