Exanthemas are often seen not only at paediatric dermatologist, but also at allergologist or paediatrician. In childhood, there are mainly parainfectious rashes, which are associated with the ongoing infection. Skin appearance is often similar and so the character of lesions, their localisation and progression are important for a correct diagnosis. The article provides an overview of parainfectious exanthemas in children focused on the morphology of skin manifestations.

Children could be affected by the classic rash, the allergic rash, even by the parainfectious rash, thankful to viral or bacterial infection. In the following article we describe mainly viral parainfectious rashes on the skin, which may occur as a result of interactionwith human immune system.

Autoři podávají přehled nejzávažnějších lékových exantémů, kam patří DRESS syndrom, akutní generalizovaná exantemová pustulóza, Stevensův-Johnsonův syndrom a toxická epidermální nekrolýza.
The authors summarize the most severe drug eruptions, namely DRESS syndrome, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. Both clinical aspects and current knowledge of etiopathogenesis of these disorders are discussed. Diagnostics, treatment and possible complications are also highlighted.

K dalším patří syndrom Gianotti-Crosti, Hand-Foot-and-Mouse-Disease, herpangína, gloves and socks syndrom, Asymetric Periflexural Exanthema of Childhood, případně pityriasis rosea.
