V súčasnosti podstúpi ročne elektrokonvulzívnu liečbu približne 1 milión ľudí na celom svete. Jej účinnosť je veľmi vysoká a pri niektorých vybraných psychických ochoreniach je ťažko nahraditeľná. ECT (elektrokonvulzívna liečba) je veľmi efektívnou liečebnou metódou súčasnej doby pre pacientov s ťažkým a na liečbu rezistentným psychickým ochorením. Podstatou metódy je vyvolanie stimulácie mozgu pomocou krátkych impulzov elektrického prúdu. Nowadays, approximately 1 million people worldwide receive electroconvulsive therapy each year. Lts effectiveness is very high and in some selected mental illnesses i tis difficult to replace. ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) is a very effective treatment method of the present time for patients with severe and treatment- resistant mental illnesses. The essence of the method is to stimulate the brain using short pulses, of electric current. The article contains information about the proposed method of treatment preparation and monitoring of the patient during the procedure itself and, of course pacient care after the ECT procedure.
Rozvoj digitálních technologií zasahuje v posledních letech stále častěji do všech oblastí medicíny. V psychiatrii nalézají digitální technologie uplatnění zejména v monitorování a analýze psychiatrických příznakù nebo ve formě virtuální terapie při léčbě psychických poruch. Čím dál častěji dochází k využívání sofistikovanějších algoritmů/modelů za pomocí metod umělé inteligence. Kromě nových možností pøi zefektivnění diagnosticko-terapeutického postupu s sebou ale digitalizace v psychiatrii pøináší také rizika a etická dilemata. Tento článek poskytuje přehled o aktuálním stavu a potenciálu rozvoje digitálních technologií v psychiatrii.
The development of digital technologies has increasingly affected all areas of medicine in recent years. In psychiatry, digital technologies have found application in particular in the monitoring and analysis of psychiatric symptoms or the use of virtual therapy in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. increasingly, the use of more sophisticated algorithms/models using artificial intelligence methods is becoming more common. However, in addition to new possibilities in streamlining the diagnostic and therapeutic process, digitalization in psychiatry also brings with it risks and ethical dilemmas. This article provides an overview of the current status and potential of digital technology development in psychiatry.
