V úvodu jsou shrnuty soudobé poznatky o depresi, její historie, epidemiologie, klinická manifestace. Dále uvádíme 4 klíčové příznaky, které pomohou v rychlé diagnostice deprese praktickým lékařem nebo somatickým specialistou. Následuje popis jednotlivých forem deprese se zaměřením na somatoformní symptomy a vztah deprese k somatickým chorobám. Krátce se věnujeme teoretickým modelům deprese a přecházíme k léčbě antidepresivy a jinými biologickými metodami. Zmiňujeme krátce psychoterapeutické přístupy a komunikační strategii s nemocným.
New knowledge about depression is summarized. The 4 -key marks- to easy detect depression are presented. We describe the variants of depression and accent depressions with somatisation and relationships between depression and somatic diseases. The short description of the contemporary theoretic models of depression is presented. The medication, other biological methods and psychotherapy are summarized. We present the elementary principles to communication with depressive patients.
