Autoři využili technologii vícekanálové statické perfuzní profilometrie uretry s cílem srovnat hodnoty tlaku v jednotlivých kanálech a zjistit informační hodnotu dat pouze z jednoho kanálu k posouzení validity standardní jednokanálové statické profilometrie. Vyšetřili soubor 25 nemocných metodou čtyřkanálové statické profilometrie. Soubor tvořili pacienti s inkontinencí, BHP, strikturou uretry, po RAPE a TUR. Prokázali, že se tlaky v jednotlivých kanálech natolik liší, že standardní metoda statické profilometrie není reprodukovatelná a nepodává dostatečně validní diagnostické informace. Určitou cestu zlepšení výtěžnosti vidí autoři ve využití čtyřkanálové profilometrie, na jejíž implementaci pracují.

The authors used the technology of multi-channel static perfusion urethral profilometry with the aim to compare pressure values in individual channels and to find the information value of one channel only to evaluate the validity of standard one-channel static profilometry. They investigated a group of 25 patients with the method of four-channel static profilometry. The group consisted of patients with incontinence, BHP, urethral stricture, after RAPE and TUR. They proved, that the pressures in individual channels are so different, that the standard method of static profilometry is not reproducible and renders dianostic information of poor validity. The authors consider the use of four-channel profilometry a possible way to the improvement of validity and they prepare its implementation.
