Byla podána zpráva o situaci TB v Dánsku a v České republice v roce 2001. V Dánsku bylo nově zjištěno 511 TB nemocných (9,6/100 000 obyvatel), z nich bylo 337 imigrantů. Proti roku 2000 došlo ke snížení počtu nemocných o 7 % u Dánů i u imigrantů. Snížil se však i podíl bakteriologicky ověřených TB proti předchozím rokům na 75 %. Tento podíl je podle autorů příliš nízký. Kladou důraz na podrobné epidemiologické šetření; zdroj nákazy v rodině byl prokázán u 9 % nemocných a v jejich okolí u 11 %. v České republice byla incidence TB 1 350 (13,1/100 000 obyvatel), z nich však jen 193 byli nemocní narození mimo ČR (cizinci). Celkový počet nemocných se proti roku 2000 snížil o 6 %, ne však u cizinců. Podíl ověřených TB byl nižší než v Dánsku, jen 66 %. Údaje o počtu zdrojů české statistiky nevykazují, doporučeno jejich doplnění.

Information was given on tuberculosis (TB) situation in Denmark in 2001 and compared with that in the Czech Republic. In Denmark there were newly notified 511 TB cases (9,6/100 000 inhabitants), out of them 337 immigrants. In comparison with the year 2000 there was a 7% decrease of the number of TB cases in the Danes, as well as in the immigrants. However, a decrease was observed also in the number of bacteriologically confirmed cases. According to the authors, the 75% proportion of confirmed TB cases is too low. The sources of TB infection were found in 9% of TB patients in their families and in 11% in their neighbourhoods. In the Czech Republic TB incidence was 1 350 cases (13,1 /100 000 inhabitants), out of them 193 patients born abroad (foreigners). The number of TB cases decreased by 6% in comparison with the year 2000, but the decrease was not in foreigners. The proportion of bacteriologically confirmed TB cases was lower than in Denmark, 66% only. The number of TB sources is not followed and it is recommended to add such information into the Czech statistical reports.
