Autor popisuje vlastní čtyřicetileté zkušenosti s protetickou péčí o sluchově postižené. Jsou v tom zahrnuty zkušenosti s analogovými sluchadly a digitálními sluchadly. Jednoznačně preferuje digitální sluchadla, popisuje jejich přednosti v provedení závěsů (BTE - behind-the-ear), boltcových (ITE - in-the-ear), zvukovoďových (ITC - in-the-concha) a CIC (completely-in-the-ear). Upozorňuje však i na složitou situaci při předpisu digitálního sluchadla u velmi těžkých sluchových vad, především u prelinguálně hluchých dětí, kterým je indikována kochleární implantace (CI). Budoucnost protetické péče spatřuje pouze v použití digitálních sluchadel. Přizpůsobení digitálních sluchadel je časově náročné a vyžaduje dokonalé audiologické znalosti.
The author describes his own experience with analog and digital hearing aids. He univocally prefers the digital hearing aids, specifically the hearing aids, ITE, ITC and CIC, which should be ušed in the future in most cases. The situation is complicated in prelingually deaf children, where the cochlear implantation (CI) is indicated. At the present time the prescription of the digital hearing aids is complicated due to economic reasons. The fitting of digital hearing aids is very time consuming and the audiologist must be very well experienced in audiology.
