Práce přináší rozbor nemocí z povolání přenosných a parazitárních hlášených u vojáků v činné službě v Armádě České republiky v letech 1996–2006. Tato onemocnění jsou nejčastěji hlášenými nemocemi z povolání ve sledovaném období. Vznikly v 85,2 % během pobytu v zahraničí, v klimaticky náročných a epidemiologicky závažných oblastech. Nárůst těchto onemocnění v posledních letech je dán charakterem činnosti armády, tj. vysíláním vojáků do vojenských misí a pozorovatelských misí OSN. Nejčastější diagnózou byla malárie. Autor upozorňuje na důležitost provádění prohlídek před výjezdem a po návratu ze zahraničí.

The paper presents the analysis of communicable and parasitic occupational diseases reported in soldiers in the active service in the Army of the Czech Republic in 1996–2006. These diseases are the most frequent reported occupational diseases in the followup period. 85.2% of them developed during the stay abroad, in demanding climatic and serious epidemiological areas. The increase of these diseases in recent years is connected to the character of the army activity, i. e. sending soldiers to military and observational missions of the UNO. The most frequent diagnosis was malaria. The author stresses the importance of undertaking examinations before departure and after coming back home.
