Projekt MOET ICHDK (Monitoring efektivní terapie ischemické choroby dolních končetin) nastolil spolupráci praktických lékařů a angiologů v rámci celé České republiky v oblasti časné diagnostiky ICHDK – forem asymptomatických i symptomatických – a posílil nutnost komplexní léčby těchto nemocných v oblasti intervence rizikových faktorů aterosklerózy v primární péči. Ročním sledováním a intenzifikací léčby bylo dosaženo významného poklesu hladin celkového cholesterolu, LDL-cholesterolu, triacylglycerolů a zlepšilo se množství hypertoniků, kteří dosáhli cílových hodnot. Snížil se počet kuřáků ve sledovaném souboru, nebylo dosaženo redukce tělesné hmotnosti.

The MOET ICHDK (Monitoring of an Effective Therapy of Peripheral Arterial Disease, MOET PAD) project had established collaboration between general practitioners and angiologists in the area of PAD – both symptomatic and asymptomatic – across the Czech Republic and emphasised the need for comprehensive care for patients with PAD with respect to atherosclerosis risk factors interventions in primary care. Twelve-month monitoring and treatment intensification led to important decrease in total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triacylglycerols levels and increased the number of patients with hypertension who achieved target values. The number of smokers in the evaluated cohort decreased, while body weight did not decline.
