Představujeme kazuistiku hypoglykemie u pacienta s diabetes mellitus 2. typu dlouhodobě uspokojivě kompenzovaného při léčbě kombinací perorálních antidiabetik včetně glibenklamidu. K hypoglykemické příhodě došlo při vynechání dvou hlavních jídel pro žaludeční nevolnost bez přerušení antidiabetické medikace. Pacient v tomto ohledu nebyl poučen o žádných preventivních opatřeních.
We present a case of hypoglycemia in a patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with a combination of oral antidiabetic agents including glibenclamide, which was satisfactorily controlled for a long time. The hypoglycemic event happened after omitting two main meals because of nausea while keeping the same medication schedule. The patient was not instructed in any preventive measure in such situation.
