Jsou prezentovány bližší informace o plikaci žaludku, operaci, která postupně získává čím dál širší oblibu mezi pacienty i bariatrickými chirurgy. Dále jsou zmíněny i další trendy v bariatrii, jako například single port access, „miniinvazívní“ laparoskopie, intragastrický balón, elektrostimulace žaludku, stenty zažívacího traktu či technika NOTES.

The author informs the readers about the current news and trends in the field of bariatric and metabolic surgical treatment. More detailed information is presented about gastric plication, a surgery which is becoming increasingly more popular among both patients and bariatric surgeons. Further on are mentioned other trends in bariatric surgery, such as single port access, mini-invasive laparoscopy, intragastric balloon, electro-stimulation of the stomach, gastric tract stents or the NOTES technique
