Perkutánní vertebroplastika je minimálně invazivní metoda, kterou je možné řešit kompresivní fraktury obratlových těl. Jde o metodu bezpečnou, která je prováděna v analgosedaci pod skiaskopickou či CT kontrolou. U seniorů tato metoda výrazně urychlí dobu rekonvalescence po kompresivních frakturách obratlů. Na našem pracovišti tuto metodu indikujeme u senio-rů s kompresivními frakturami obratlů ve spolupráci s Radiodiagnostickým oddělením Nemocnice Na Homolce. Během let 2010–2012 bylo u nás k vertebroplastice indikováno 59 pacientů. U žádného nedošlo k závažné komplikaci způsobené výkonem. Střední doba hospitalizace po výkonu byla v našem souboru 24 dní. Perkutánní vertebroplastika je metoda vhodná k řešení kompresivních fraktur u seniorů, neboť umožňuje časnou rehabilitaci a zkrácení doby hospitalizace. Ulevuje od bolesti a může předejít komplikacím, vyplývajícím z imobilizace.

Percutaneous vertebroplasty is a minimally invasive procedure, which can be used to treat vertebral compressive fractures. It is a safe method, that is performed in analgo-sadation under sciascopic control or under guidance using computer thomograph. It shortens the time of recovery after compressive fractures in senior age. We indicate this method to seniors with vertebral compressive fractures in colaboration with the Department of Radiology of the Hospital Na Homolce. During years 2010–2012, percutaneous vertebroplasty was performed in 59 patients hospitalized at our department. There was no serious complication due to the procedure observed. Median duration of hospitalization after the vertebroplasty was 24 days. Percutaneous vertebroplasty is a method suitable for the treatment of vertebral compressive fractures in senior patients, because it enables early rehabilitation and shortening of the time of hospitalization. It releaves pain and it can prevent complications of compressive fractures following from immobilisation.
