Článek se věnuje limitům a možnostem využití konceptu psychospirituální krize v péči o duševně nemocné. Nejprve je předložena kritická analýza transpersonalistického pojetí psychospirituální krize a následně jsou naznačeny možnosti dalšího využití. Článek se snaží poukázat na ideové zatížení této kategorie a problémy s jejím vymezením. Text zdůrazňuje potřebu očistit tuto kategorii od ideové zátěže. K lepšímu využití by také přispělo, kdyby nebyl tento koncept předkládán pouze jako alternativní, ale také jako komplementární výkladový rámec. Komplementární výkladový rámec není v rozporu s výkladem psychiatrickým, v rámci péče o duševně nemocné je proto vhodnější.

The article addresses the limits and potentialities of the spiritual emergency concept in the context of mental health care. Firstly, a critical analysis of the transpersonalist conception of spiritual emergency is introduced which is followed by outlining the possibilities of its further use. The article points out that the category is ideologically loaded and that there are problems with its definition. The paper stresses the need for making the category free from its ideological load. It further argues that presenting the concept also as a complementary, not only alternative, explanatory framework will contribute to its better implementation. A complementary framework is not at odds with a psychiatric framework and is therefore more convenient for mental health care.
