Kazuistika popisuje liečbu diabetika 2. typu s nefropatiou na terapii orálnymi antidiabetikami intenzifikovanú aplikáciou inzulínového analógu s ultradlhým účinkom – degludek. Po pridaní degludeku došlo k redukcii podávania orálnych antidiabetík, vymiznutiu hypoglykémií a výraznému zlepšeniu kompenzácie cukrovky.

The case report deals with the treatment of the patient with the type 2 diabetes mellitus and nephropathy, who was treated with oral antidiabetic agents, the treatment was intensified by the administration of the ultra long term acting insulin analogue – degludec. Following the administration of degludec a reduction of the dose of oral antidiabetic agents, cessation of hypoglycemic episodes and a significant improvement of diabetic control occurred.
