Parenterální a enterální výživa u nemocných s diabetes mellitus
[Parenteral and enteral nutrition in patients with diabetes mellitus]

Indikace enterální a parenterální výživy se neliší od nemocných bez diabetes mellitus. V praxi je hyperglykemie v průběhu nutriční intervence častou komplikací u hospitalizovaných nemocných. U nemocných s diabetes mellitus jsou současně důležité kontroly glykemie při aplikaci nutriční podpory, jež mohou mít vliv na prognózu. Cílem tohoto sdělení je podat současný pohled na problematiku nutriční diagnostiky a nutriční intervence v kritických stavech a u stabilních nemocných s diabetes mellitus.
The indication of parenteral and enteral nutrition in patients with diabetes mellitus is not differed from non-diabetics patients. However, hyperglycemia is a frequent complication in hospitalized patients during nutrition administration. Both nutrition support and glycemia control are important factors influencing prognosis of patient with diabetes mellitus. This article review the importance of nutritional assesment, parenteral and enteral nutrition and strategy both in critically ill and non-critically ill patients with diabetes mellitus.
