DNA-helikasa provádějící excizní opravy po poškození ultrafialovým zářením. Mutace genu ERCC5 mohou u lidí způsobit onemocnění xeroderma pigmentosum komplementační skupiny G a zvýšit náchylnost ke kožním nádorům.

A DNA helicase that performs EXCISION REPAIR functions following UV damage. In humans, mutations in the ERCC5 gene can cause XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM, COMPLEMENTATION GROUP G and increase susceptibility to SKIN CANCER.
