Bazocelulární karcinom (BCC) představuje nejčastější typ maligního nádoru s vysokou incidencí, avšak nízkou mortalitou. Ačkoliv metastazuje velmi vzácně, při dlouhodobém zanedbání dokáže destruovat okolní tkáně a tím i ohrožovat na životě. V textu je popsán případ pacientky s četnými BCC v pokročilém stadiu, které byly řešeny chirurgicky. U jednoho z ložisek nebylo chirurgické řešení dostačující, proto byla zvolena adjuvantní onkologická léčba – radioterapie. Nová klasifikace EADO (European Association of Dermato-Oncology) z roku 2023 navrhuje rozdělení BCC na dobře léčitelné a obtížně léčitelné.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of malignant tumour with high incidence but low mortality. Although metastasis is very rare, if neglected long term, it can destroy surrounding tissue and thus can be life-threatening. The text describes a case of a patient with multiple advanced BCCs that were treated surgically; in one of the lesions this therapy was not sufficient and adjuvant oncological treatment – radiotherapy – was chosen. The new EADO (European Association of Dermato-Oncology) classification from 2023 proposes to divide BCC into well treatable and difficult to treat.
